Volunteer Day!

For those who have been waiting to get their hands a little dirty turning our empty lot into a Community Garden we are hosting a little ¨work party¨ this Saturday at the garden site (480 Central Ave).

From 10am to 2pm come help build a new community greenspace by weeding, raking, removing rocks and debris, and other similar work. This will be an initial work session and we will not be constructing raised beds or a fence or anything like that yet. Bring your gloves and a hat! If you can bring other landscape tools that would be very helpful just please make sure they are labeled as yours, masking tape and a sharpie works well for this.

This is a prelude to larger projects like a fence, irrigation, and fruit tree planting. Thanks to everyone who has supported this project so far, we are very excited to have have the site looking more like a garden.
